Quick Guide-Online Utilities Account Access

Online Billing Portal

Visit the billing portal and click on “Utility Building Payments” on the left-hand side of your screen.

There are two methods available for accessing your Bradley utilities account online.

  • Method #1 is a quick and convenient way to pay your bill.
  • Method #2 requires registration and allows you to view historical consumption & billing information.

Method #1: PIN Only

With this method, your location ID or name or address or property tax pin #  and account PIN are all that is required. This method does not require you to set up a username and password. This method is ideal for residents or businesses with a single Bradley utilities account.  A search for your property will display a list of results.

At this point, you can select your property and enter your account PIN and proceed to pay.

Method #2: Username and Password

With this method, you are able to create a username and password for the website.  This method is ideal for residents or landlords with multiple Bradley accounts.  By logging in with your username and password, the utilities account PIN numbers you enter will be stored so that they will not be required in the future. A quick search for the property address will allow immediate access to detailed account information.

In the right-hand corner select register from the drop-down menu.

Fill out the required field in the “Create a New Account Section” section of the form.

At this point, please check the inbox of the email account under which you registered. You should have a message from onlinesupport@bsasoftware.com containing the final steps for activating and using your online account.

Once you are signed in, the process for accessing your utilities account is the same as in Method #1, except that you will only be prompted for the account PIN the first time you access each property.

Should you have any questions, please contact the Bradley Utilities Customer Service Department at (815) 936-5105.

Mayor’s Memo

Hello Everyone,

I would like to start by saying “Despite the circumstances you are doing a great job”. As most of you are aware the governor has extended the Stay at Home Order through May 29, 2020 with modifications. During this time when we are concerned for the health and safety of ourselves, families, and neighbors I respectfully ask that all continue to abide by the governor’s executive order.

The leadership and staff at the Village of Bradley are constantly getting updated information and have been working hard to pass pertinent information along to the public through our website www.Bradley.org, Village of Bradley Facebook page and newsletter.

The Village will continue to be fully staffed, but with no access from the public at this time, again, please call (815} 936-5100 should you have any questions or need assistance. Both Bradley Police & Fire departments are fully staffed should anyone require assistance. We will continue to have Village Board meetings within the guidelines of the executive order and the OMA regulations. We have posted instructions on our website www.bradleyil.org on what to do if you have public comment(s) and/or would like to attend in person.

For your convenience below is the IML summarization of the modifications.

  • Face coverings are required to be worn by all individuals, when medically tolerable, who are in public places and unable to maintain adequate social distancing of six feet, except for children under age two and when with members of the same household. Face coverings will be required in indoor public places such as stores.
  • All essential businesses may remain open consistent with the original executive order. Essential retail stores shall reduce their occupancy capacity to 50% or to the capacity set by the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) based on store square footage, provide face coverings to all employees who cannot maintain social distancing of six feet at all times, set up store aisles to be one-way, communicate these requirements to customers through signage and public service announcements and discontinue use of reusable bags.
  • Non-essential retail stores may reopen to take orders on line or over the phone for either curbside pickup (outside the store) or delivery. Employees must maintain social distancing of six feet or wear a face covering when that is not possible.
  • All businesses that have employees physically reporting to a work-site must post IDPH’s guidance regarding workplace safety during the COVID-19 emergency. The IDPH guidance is not yet available, but we will share it once it is released.
  • Fishing and boating in groups of no more than two per watercraft will be permitted.
  • Golf courses will be permitted to open only when following strict guidelines provided by DCEO
  • Some state parks will be reopened.
  • Pet grooming services will be allowed to reopen.
  • Educational institutions may allow and establish procedures for pick-up of necessary supplies or student belongings and dormitory move-out. These procedures must be in a manner consistent with public health guidelines and social distancing requirements.

On a different note, I declared through proclamations on Monday, April 27, 2020 at the Village Board meeting three different graduation weeks for the Class of 2020. Please join me in celebrating our Class of 2020 Graduates.

  • Eighth Grade Graduation Week is May 3 to May 9

Office of the Mayor – Michael Watson

Hello everyone,

I want to express my gratitude and THANK YOU for rising to the occasion and remaining calm during this COVID-19 outbreak. I am very proud of our community and the efforts of various organizations to support one another from the schools providing lunches to the encouragement of support for our local businesses and of course our medical facilities and first responders. I want to say thank you for doing what you can within the limitations of the situation.

I most importantly want to reassure you that my team and I are in constant communication with multiple organizations from the local health department, medical facilities, and the governor’s office. We are advocating for our citizens and businesses to ensure proper and timely information is disbursed accurately. We are also advocating for and communicating various relief programs at both the state and federal level. Please check our Village Facebook page for updates on various types of economic relief as well as updates on COVID19.

Businesses in the Village of Bradley please ensure your contact information is up to date with our offices. Please call our office (815) 936-5100 or email kbnelson@bradleyil.org to provide an email, key staff names, and titles. The Village will be working to make sure you receive realtime important updates on programing that may apply to your COVID19 economic relief.

Meanwhile please take this time to bond with your kids or grandkids, relax and evoke ‘selfcare’, and/or do some spring clean-up. Also, if you do not want to mess up a clean kitchen, I encourage you to order out for delivery or pick up from one of our local restaurants (there is a list of open restaurants on the Village’s Facebook page).

In addition, I want to thank all the Bradley residents who voted in the Primary elections, despite COVID19 we came out in record numbers. I am pleased to announce that the Bradley Nonhome Rule sales tax referendum, which was on the ballot passed. As promised, we are working on our FY21 Budget, which adds additional firefighters, allocates more funding for our roads, and I will have details of the rebate program for property taxes coming out soon. We thank you for your support.

We will continue to work hard on your behalf. Please follow us on Facebook for updates and happenings in the Village of Bradley.

Mayor’s Message COVID-19

Office of the Mayor – Michael Watson

March 13, 2020

Village of Bradley Residents,

The uncertainty of the public health impact is having consequences on the regular order of business for many communities and numerous aspects of local government. The timing of the election-taking place is unfo1tunate, because everyone has a responsibility to Vote for whom they feel will best represent the offices posted on the ballots and the referendum(s) under consideration.

I am encouraging all Village of Bradley residents to VOTE EARLY at the Kankakee County Clerk’s office at 189 E. Court St., Kankakee.

Friday, March 13th    4:30pm – 7:00pm
Saturday, March 14th    8:30am – 4:30pm
Sunday, March 15th    9:00am – 4:00pm
Monday, March 16th    4:30pm – 7:00pm

By doing so you will take advantage of not only your right to choose a candidate, but you will avoid being in a congested environment with crowds of people.

My office is encouraging the reduction of hand-to-hand contact, until COVID-19 is under control. The Village of Bradley is committed to meeting the needs of the community, but must reduce the potential for this virus being introduced through unnecessary physical contact, the Village respectfully requests that everyone utilize electronic on line bill payments, or US Mail service, or you can drop-off all payments made by check in a secured drop box at Village Hall 24 hours a day.

We will still process the same services at the Village Municipal Office, but we are asking the public to consider sending emails or simply make a phone call to Village Hall (815) 936-5100.

Depending on the service you need, please be prepared to take photos or scans of your documents
(surveys, plans, receipts, etc) to mail to staff.

I want to thank you for your patience and for understanding this request,
Michael Watson

Mayor’s Memo

It is an honor to be appointed as Mayor Protem for the Village of Bradley. It is my goal to focus on the future by improving programs, introducing and implementing new ideas, revitalizing major parts of the village, and creating the best experience for the residents, businesses, and visitors of Bradley. I have a great team in place that have already rolled up their sleeves and begun working. It has been a busy few months and there has been a lot of progress made. Here are some of the positive steps the Board and I have already implemented which will result in dollars saved for village residents and businesses.

  • Removed the previous Board’s 3% annual sewer rate increases. This will save residents and businesses $85k the first year alone.
  • Repealed the telecom phone tax; saving the average household about $61.25 annually.
  • Launched a new website to increase communication and transparency
  • Reviewed and eliminated excessive merit incentives for administration

IN THE WORKS

I believe that teamwork along with support of the community will equal success for the village. To that end, the Board and I are working on and planning projects in the Village. Here are some of the things we have begun to implement:

  • We’ve taken Initiatives to revitalize Broadway and the mall area.
  • We’ve hired SB Friedman to conduct a feasibility study on the mall area. sbfriedman.com
  • Cost cutting to fix the Village’s six year deficit budget.
  • Complete a fire assessment; the last one was done approximately 15 years ago.
  • Complete a road assessment; this will be the first one ever conducted in Village of Bradley.
  • Complete a dispatch assessment; long overdue.

Moving forward, the goal is to continue improving the infrastructure within the village to attract new businesses, to bring in more consumers to the area, along with generating more jobs and revenue.

I am always open to new ideas. Don’t hesitate to reach out to the team or myself. You can find our contact information on the website and in this newsletter.

The Village of Bradley has an exciting future ahead of it. I look forward to speaking with the residents about this future, revitalizing Bradley, and working as a team to accomplish all our goals.
