Mayor’s Message COVID-19

Posted on March 13, 2020

Office of the Mayor – Michael Watson

March 13, 2020

Village of Bradley Residents,

The uncertainty of the public health impact is having consequences on the regular order of business for many communities and numerous aspects of local government. The timing of the election-taking place is unfo1tunate, because everyone has a responsibility to Vote for whom they feel will best represent the offices posted on the ballots and the referendum(s) under consideration.

I am encouraging all Village of Bradley residents to VOTE EARLY at the Kankakee County Clerk’s office at 189 E. Court St., Kankakee.

Friday, March 13th    4:30pm – 7:00pm
Saturday, March 14th    8:30am – 4:30pm
Sunday, March 15th    9:00am – 4:00pm
Monday, March 16th    4:30pm – 7:00pm

By doing so you will take advantage of not only your right to choose a candidate, but you will avoid being in a congested environment with crowds of people.

My office is encouraging the reduction of hand-to-hand contact, until COVID-19 is under control. The Village of Bradley is committed to meeting the needs of the community, but must reduce the potential for this virus being introduced through unnecessary physical contact, the Village respectfully requests that everyone utilize electronic on line bill payments, or US Mail service, or you can drop-off all payments made by check in a secured drop box at Village Hall 24 hours a day.

We will still process the same services at the Village Municipal Office, but we are asking the public to consider sending emails or simply make a phone call to Village Hall (815) 936-5100.

Depending on the service you need, please be prepared to take photos or scans of your documents
(surveys, plans, receipts, etc) to mail to staff.

I want to thank you for your patience and for understanding this request,
Michael Watson
